This is a point I completely forgot about until just now. With the news of 9.2 it just occurred to me we've reached the last content patch of Shadowlands, and one of the biggest mysteries Blizzard first revealed still has no discernible answer. We still have no clue about what it was exactly that disabled the Arbiter, you know, the entire inciting incident which made all the events in the Shadowlands begin in the first place.
It's a monumental moment in the story, something fans were speculating on since Shadowlands was announced. Was it perhaps the soul of Argus that overloaded her? Maybe it was the deal that Helya struck with Sylvanas? We still have no idea, and I have a very unsettling feeling that when 9.2 begins Sylvanas will just blurt out the answer in the most lazy method of exposition, and quickly move on. I want to say whatever the answer was could be interesting, but it seems clear if we still don't even know the Jailors goal at this point, this is a point Blizzard likely wants to quickly resolve and never mention again.
It's just all so disappointing.
