Blizzard is probably going to end up disappointing us in the end with their narrative choices, either in that it will not be what fans think it will be or that it will actually just be bad, but theory crafting is a fun exercise regardless and I would like to hear your theories!

Feel free to get wild with it but the one condition is that it has to be congruent to what has actually happened so far, unlike Blizz we will not be using retcons here.

I'll start with a basic one: Zovaal will accomplish his goals and remake the universe, ALA the End Times of Warhammer Fantasy and it's transition into Age of Sigmar. Much like in that setting certain things, people, and places will manage to survive due to sheer magical power. Among these will be the Caverns of Time, the champions of Azeroth (In the dying breaths of the universe, Azeroth awakens and gives all her power to the champions of Azeroth. I would include major characters in this such as Jaina, Thrall, and others), locations like Nordrassil, Dalaran, Karazan, ETC with connections to the leylines.

Next expansion would be using the Caverns of Time to try and remake the old world, and the players efforts to defend it the other locations.
