Hey Guys, I went around on Google to try and find a similar question but found nothing concrete so I thought I'd ask here.
Just with regards to the Horde, since the Bilgewater Cartel joined back in Cataclysm, we saw the Horde made some advances in their architecture and weaponry with regards to Orgrimmar being fortified, and their siege engines being created.
However, my question more relates to the individual races such as the Trolls and Tauren. Obviously with the Tauren being nomadic in nature, it would make sense for them to retain a tribal appearance and similar to the Trolls, but how can The Horde hope to even stand up to the Alliance when the Alliance has far superior infrastructure and technology.
I understand it's a fantasy setting, but it generally seems strange that the Orcs continue to live in mud huts, and the Trolls live in roughly built wooden shacks and yet even with the addition of Goblins and the Blood Elves, they still haven't evolved much in terms of their aesthetics. If we go to Outland and enter Hellfire Citadel, we can see that the Orcs are very well capable of building impressive, fortified structures, and yet Orgrimmar remains quite primitive.
Just curious if there's a Lore reason for this? I enjoy playing as the Horde, but I do wish we could see the passage of time and how with new races joining their ranks, their appearance would evolve to show it.
