I know it’ll never happen, but like the title says, we’ve got billions and billions of dollars in hardware meant for this type of confrontation in these types of theaters and it just seems like there would be plenty of people who would want to see these combat systems being battle tested.
The fallout would almost certainly be some sort of chemical or nuclear attack straight off the bat from Putin as he’s clearly off the rails, but isn’t what all this build up and spending has been for?
The USAF would achieve near air superiority in a quick amount of time even if it would incur some losses. The Russians would be forced to throw their latest gen fighters, but would probably lose every single one.
I’m not advocating for a no-fly zone or any type of combat, but I just find it slightly ironic that there’s finally an opportunity to let loose these next-gen fighters and there’s no real chance it’ll ever happen.

Totally but what would we actually learn from the garbage they’re leaving on the field? We already know everything about their tanks and ground forces. Really the only thing that’s left are their anti-air systems which they’ve been more than happy to abandon.
