Back in 2017, we’d get calls that said “Hi, until what time are you open until?” (Yes, the double until. Not a typo)
My favorite response would be “Hi, happy to help. We’re doing a short in store survey. How did you get our phone number”
Customer: “Google” Me: “Great. Google will also tell you we close at midnight. Every night.” (It wouldn’t be around the holidays, no upcoming days we’d be closed. Just a typical day.)
Most people didn’t know how to respond, and the very few that wanted to speak to the manager got a fake name from me and transferred to the pickup department where my coworker would just pretend to be a manager. This is the only reason I stuck around as long as I did.
