Can I get fired for having THC in my system even though it’s legal in my state?

So I live and work in a Walmart in Massachusetts. I’m over 21 and recreational marijuana use is legal here. Is it okay if I ingest an edible on my day off from work or am I supposed to follow federal law while working for Walmart? Which marijuana isn’t legal on the federal level. I’m confused with how state laws work for employees of a international company
