I'm gonna preface this with yes, I'm in the fitting room. Yes, I still bust my ass day in and day out. Fitting room may look fine and dandy, but I promise, we still get our share of crap from people. Ok, moving on.
As I'm sure is true in most stores, everyone was there. Store manager, co-manager, all ASMs besides overnight ASMs, both GM support managers, all department managers and cap supervisors (except Pharmacy, Vision, and TLE) were in the store until 10PM. To prep for the check out queues, they roped off intimates (which is right by SCO); they also roped off the other side so that people couldn't cut in line. This left me barricaded in the fitting room area manning communication (answering the phone, and listening to the walkie; our walkies are shit and half the time, manager 1 can hear manager 2, but manager 2 can't hear manager 1's response, so I have to relay, etc).
Our store was pretty darn calm. One or two little blips of frustrated peoples but mostly, it was good. I was impressed. I think I was more frustrated than most customers, and I wasn't frustrated at all besides the amount of "Are you open today? You're open 24 hours? But its Thanksgiving!" calls I received. If I don't receive another one until next year, it'll be too soon.
Here's to hoping that everyone else out there is safe and sound - and that y'all got something to eat. We didn't get jack at my store.
