I am a new transfer from a Walmart where we had ample handhelds for associates to use. I was trained to do CVPs, make bun labels, set features, and cap and dump bins at my old store, none of which I can do now as at my new store they are extremely selective on who can use them (it seems only dms get access). I didn’t realize quite how much I relied on them until I came to the new store and spent the majority of my day trying to find stock locations. This has been super frustrating and seems extremely inefficient. It seems to me that whatever excess expenses come about as result of allowing greater access would be mitigated by the dramatic increase in worker productivity. The new store is even an academy store, this is extremely disappointing as it feels like associates are less valued and empowered at the new store. I frankly feel like I have been demoted.
