I have the world's shittest Team Lead, and here's why. For the sake of privacy, we will call them Alex. Alex has been my Team lead for about a year now. They got the job without knowing what kind of shit they were getting into. Alex always sides with the coach over us, never tries to do their job, and rarely is there.

I am only a seasonal employee, thus making me only there for about five or six months of the year. The rest of the year, I am at college. What sparked me into writing this post is that it is memorial day weekend. I will add that my store is a tourist store, thus meaning that we are fucked every summer and major holiday, but we get a significant pay bonus each summer. My team lead decided to go to Las Vegas a week before this week. It was mothers Day, and apparently, it was a gift to her. That week she was only scheduled for 24 hours and only worked 20 24 hours as she was supposed to. Alex has left me alone to close up and leave multiple times. Now, Alex is KNOWN to use PTO and leave early, mainly because they didn't want to work. Whenever I mentioned getting a day off or asked about something in our area, they would follow it up with," I don't think you can get it off, or I don't know." They always do the bare minimum.

Now I work in the electronics department. We run photos and do everything around the department mainly because no one else in the store can. Since we are in a tourist town and it's graduation season, we need a shit load of paper for our machines. The rest of the team and leads, and co-workers told Alex to order a lot of paper, and they never did. So we were fucked for a week while she was on vacation. We couldn't do any orders or anything because of their laziness. Then came yesterday. Alex had a 2-11 pm shift, and I worked from 12-9. Alex left four hours early because it was their partner's birthday, thus leaving me alone. Before them telling me this, I mentioned that another team lead didn't get a day off that they wanted, and they were upset about that because it was their daughter's birthday. Then Alex told me why they were the only team lead that had to work all weekend. This was a lie. Every team lead worked every Day, and Alex was the only one who didn't. THEY WERE LYING straight to my fucking face. I only knew this because I worked all week and weekend and put in 10 overtime hours. I practically lived in the store the whole week. Alex is the only team lead that works 24 hours a week if they ever show up.

At this point, I want to scream at Alex and tell them to stop acting like a child, but I need this job to last me until a graduate college. What do I do about this?
