You’d be forgiven for having never heard of JD.com outside of Asia. JD is an online e-commerce company that is largest direct retailer in China.
Why am I bullish?
Well. Let’s do some comparisons against the boomer bae that is Amazon:
Amazon market cap: $1.52T
Amazon revenue 2020: $386bn
Amazon net profit: $21.33bn
JD market cap $130bn
JD revenue 2020: $114bn
JD net profit:$7.59bn
So, in comparison JD is valued x12 less than Amazon but is already generating 1/3 of the revenue and net profits in an online market that is set to expand rapidly over the next decade as more of China gains internet usage.
Internet usage stats by population: China: 63% USA: 96%
Absolute no brainer.
Positions: 78 shares @ $85.31
I know Arkk is becoming a bit of a meme at this point but they also have 1.9 million shares worth approx $164m all purchased in the last 3/4 months.
