I posted yesterday about unusual activity on a trade I entered. I sold 4 bear call spreads on DJT expiring 1/17/25. 3 of my short calls were exercised same day. Today I entered the same trade on two different brokerages. Bought 4 with Robinhood and 4 with Schwab. Guess what happened? All 4 of my short calls with Robinhood were exercised yet again. I reached out to support and they stated OCC randomly assigns exercised options. Funny thing is Open Interest has remained at 607 the last two days. Exercising an option would reduce Open Interest. I am going to do the same trade with RH again tomorrow and see if I “randomly” get assigned.
