Want to discuss what everyone thinks of current market conditions and where I think everything is going to see if I'm crazy or not.
I am predicting a major recession/depression starting in early 2024, this is based on recent housing market median prices, inflation, interest rates, and politics. The kicker that I think is going to really start the downturn and send the economy into a spiral is the end of the student loan moratorium that just happened in September. The delinquency date for these September payments will hit in roughly January/February 2024. This will make people choose between three things: Their student loans, their car, or their home. With most people feeling that they will not get value for their homes they will not sell them and continue to live their lavish lifestyles until the banks come in and take their valueless homes and cars and they will be stuck with their student loans and an art degree.
