This is a non-exhaustive list of some things that I feel Pixonic should be focusing on. Feel free to agree or disagree.
- 1 Cross platform play
IMO this should be Pix's highest priority. Increase the base of players who can match against each other. This feature has already been used for years by other titles such as ShadowGun DeadZone. I understand the game engine is different, but this, but that. It can be done and it would have a ripple effects throughout the game, such as the amount of people online in your own league increases substantially.
- 2 Squad in game communication system
A quick menu for the squad leader to issue commands, eg, Capture A, Defend A, Flank East, Regroup, etc. Also an 'in-game' icon to show who is sitting in a lobby and who is in a match. When a squad member is sitting in the lobby either waiting for other players to join or waiting for the leader to start the match, let them view their hangar and bots. This means between matches it is not necessary to quit the squad to change a setting.
- 3 Leagues
Once you're reached a certain league level, it should not be possible to tank more than one or two thresholds. This will stop players who tank to either club seals or make it easier to achieve event challenges. Coming up against Mk2 12 Bulgasari with three Mk2 12 Shocktrain in silver league is absurd.
- 4 Customised/revised control system
The current config scales itself according to your device and does not allow modification. There should be an option to alter the control interface to better suit the individual or device. Eg, the entire left side of the screen could control movement and the right side control aim. Or swap sides for left handed folks. Or increase/decrease the size of the buttons. Most other popular mobile games support variable input options. See my other thread about the UI glitch with the Pixel 2 XL. It's bollocks.
- 5 Bots and weapons specifications and statistics
There is still no official way of knowing thorough stats and numbers about a bot or weapons. The fan managed Wikia site is very out of date and doesn't include much of the new content. If you're asking people to spend $450 AUD on a bot, at least provide thorough stats at every level of it's hp, speed, shield, ancile, etc.
- 6 Intentional imbalances
Please, please, please stop releasing new bots and weapons specifically designed to give an advantage over other bots. This throws the game balance out and is why there is constant tweaking required. This is also why the game will never be an eSport. Instead of basing the business model around a steady flow of ultra premium content, base it around being a balanced and polished game that can attain eSport status and become even more widespread. Micro-transactions can still exist but should be for minor performance increases or cosmetic features. If the price of transactions is lower more people will spend. And for heaven's sake nerf the shock train or change it's behaviour so it is shorter range or requires constant fire as per the scourge. It is absurd, especially when players tank leagues.
- 7 Maps and content
New maps are where the update focus should be. With various obstacles and terrain, fresh maps can leverage or suppressed various weapon and bot characteristics, substantially altering the game play without introducing new weapons and bots that unbalance the rest of it.
