Can someone explain to me. How do you love an anime picture? Is it a joke? Sorry for asking but I really don't understand. I have many questions about it but I can't put it into words.

edit: I did look at the megathread but it didn't really answer the question in depth as to what, exactly, it is. how did it start for you. why do you do it. would you ever date a real boy/girl. is saying a real boy/girl offensive. I don't even know how many questions I have.
