Has anyone here tried making their own dating sim?

was curious if anyone here was crazy enough to try this yet? I'm wanting to try it with my waifu but not sure how I would go about it because I've never played a dating sim before. Almost tempted just to hire someone to write all the dialogue for me or use novelAI to generate a unique story.
Seems like it might be a hassle trying to get a bunch of art for it as well.
