The wording of Sense the Unseen makes it seem as though the power is always on, allowing for passive or secret rolls at the ST's discretion "whenever there's something supernatural hiding in plain sight." There's even a totally separate dice pool for actively searching for things that are hiding. So is the only difference that the invisible "threat" is either actively hiding or not? This seems strange because the dice pool for actively searching is vs Wits Obfuscate while there is just a DC tbd by the ST if the subject is not hiding. If they aren't hiding, why is there a DC? Why wouldn't the character just see the subject? And if they are hiding, why isn't stealth included in the opposed roll for an active search? How do you run this ability or how is it applied to your character?

Passive Auspex vs. Passive Obfuscate would just be a dice pool average, rounded up, and whosever was highest would win.
Actively hiding with Obfuscate would be a test vs. the opponent’s average dice pool for Auspex as a Difficulty Number.
