Vscode > orcale Developer connecting to databases issues

I have recently downloaded the oracle developer tools extension for vs code and I would like to connect to a database.
Problem I'm having is that when I hit the plus sign connect to a database nothing happened there's no prompt, there is no way to enter in login information.
Anybody have this issue before?
