I booked a place on April 19th through VRBO for Memorial Day weekend. I was approved through Affirm for a three-part payment. I paid the first installment ($1939) immediately.

I decided to cancel the reservation that same day. I emailed the host and canceled through the VRBO app. The host was understanding and wished me luck in finding something more suitable.

I have not received my refund yet. According to VRBO, Affirm paid a $59 to C.A.S. For Property Damage Protection, and until C.A.S. releases the $59 fee, my $1939 is in limbo.

However, my Affirm account still shows the “loan” as having three more payments (although I have called them three times, and been told each time that the transaction is cancelled).

Has anyone dealt with anything remotely like this?
