Z-offset
Post Body

Hello,

is it normal that you have to set a new z offset value after every print ? My printer doesnt save the value, although I do a SAVE_CONFIG . Should I use an other command?

Kind regards

I spent 2 whole hours trying to figure this out. Did a Z offset calibration, changed the end stop to the number on the screen, and proceeded to put a nice scratch on my bed. Reverted my changes and proceeded to print in mid air. Finally realized that the Endstop pin is the relation of the pin to the bed and not the bed to the pin.

Technically the manual suggests grinding the pin to be level with the build plate. However, if I grind away too much, Iā€™m stuck changing the off set anyway. So I just adjusted it in klipper.
