2014 low battery

So I had a problem where my key fob battery was dying. I was able to get it started and drove 45 minutes home. By the time I got home it was totally dead. I turned the car off but the radio and everything was still on while I ran in to grab my other fob. I turned it off and when I tried to immediately turn it back on everything dimmed and I got a low battery alert. Is this just the 12V taking a crap on me? I don’t think it’s ever been replaced. 70k miles on it.
