Gen 1 2014 with 50k

I have purchased a 2014 Volt, 50k miles. I like it so far. My commute to work is about 20 miles and they have free charging stations at work. I have had one small issue, when I try to change the song being played through my iPhone, over Bluetooth, it will pause on the car stereo, but continue playing on my phone. I don’t like to have to pick up my phone while driving to hit pause and play again to getting it working. Has anyone else experienced this?
