Can I use water to moisten my inflating needle?

I was looking to buy a volleyball and saw this while looking at a molten V5M1500, I then looked far and wide through the internet and visited Mikasa’s website and told me I should buy glycerin AND THEN saw a thread saying spit is a good alternative.
there are also people who use a dry needle and end up just fine.
The marketplace I use (shopee) does not have glycerin and I cannot use Amazon.
I am very confused about this topic and want to ask for your opinion.
