SOLVED!
Hello,
I've been wanting to play some minetest lately, and for one of the servers I play on I need Minetest 0.4. Void of course has the latest version, 0.5.2, which isn't capable with with the server I like.
I tried to get the older version several ways. I searched xbps, didn't find it. I searched flathub. I tried to do a rollback with flatpak using a commit from the older version. I've followed countless dead links to app-images that no longer exist, and I tried to compile from source. I wasn't able to compile from source for the simple reason that I couldn't determine which dependencies I'd need. Following their guides isn't helpful due to the fact that some of the packages they say is needed for compiling are distro-specific and don't exist in void linux.
There is a fork of the older version somewhere - Arch's AUR has a build for it, but Void is not arch (and IMO superior anyways). But maybe I can somehow use that build via xbps-scr?
Or maybe there's info sitting around somewhere that I can read on what I'd need to compile from source for void?
Any help on this matter is greatly appreciated. So far, this has been the only problem I've had. Everything else so far has been great!
