Backstory... my wife and I had a catahoula for the last ten years. She was an amazing dog. She recently passed, unexpectedly. We have a four year old daughter...and without going into a long story, we tried to adopt a new hula puppy, but after months of training she only become more and more aggressive to our daughter.
SO I am looking for advice. I want a loyal and dedicated companion. Our next dog will end up being my buddy, but I also want it to be a great family dog. Anyone with small children, are Vizslas amenable to young children?
And... trying to find a Vizsla pup returns expensive results. I'd love to adopt a young pup.... I understand that it would be difficult to find a newborn to adopt. But, does anyone have any advice on adopting a Vizsla? I live in North Florida. It appears as if this is not a prominent breed around here. But I was curious if anyone had any advice.
