How to stop vivaldi from restoring current address bar after fully erasing it?

Whenever I fully erase my address bar - it instantly restores current address
For example I'm at old.reddit.com
If I fully erase it - it instantly shifts back to old.reddit.com, with my "blinking cursor" at the very left side of the search bar
It started after moving to the new version
It still persists after disabling all the extensions(minimal scrollbar, old reddit, tampermonkey and ublock origin)
Current version: 2.3.1401.7 (Official Build) (64-bit)
OS: Windows 10 pro
CPU: Intel core i5 3470
GPU: AMD Radeon r9 280
Ram: 2x4 ddr3 1600 mhz cl10 dual channel dual rank, different sticks
