I found this subreddit a few weeks ago and something finally clicked for me. My VS isn’t awful, but I spend a lot of time looking at the ground when I walk because I always thought the “sky sparkles” were especially overstimulating. Ditto for brightly lit, colorful spaces (shopping malls are hard for me). I just figured my ADD made it harder for me to ignore what everyone else saw and I never really talked about it.
I was talking to my Dad about it, and showed him a few mock-ups from here. He said he experiences the same thing, and thought his vision was just awful until he got lasik a few years ago and his VS stayed despite his “good vision”. He also has ADD, I’m not sure if that plays into any of this because I’m still learning.
Anyway, anyone else ever experience someone else in their family/group unknowingly experienced this too?
