Hi there. I’m trying to figure out if what I’m experiencing is visual snow. It’s not like I’m seeing snow falling down. But it is shimmery with my eyes closed and open. I can still see everything, but one eye doesn’t see color as bright as the other. Everything seems kind of static/shimmery.
I am sensitive to light. And the vision change makes me feel like I’m high or something bc it’s so odd. Again, nothing is like falling from the sky. I can still drive etc. I think I do get some floaters but I don’t notice it much it’s more the nonstop shimmery/static look.
It started after a stressful incident in 2021. Lasted about 4-5 months then went away. In December it came back after pneumonia/stressful incident (hard to tell which came first or if they affected either other, the bacterial virus I mean and the stressful traumatic event) but it came back and hasn’t gone away. When I look up visual snow it looks way more dramatic than what I am seeing. Like totally blurred and I can still see, although not as well.
I got tested for optic neuritis yesterday and I am fine. I am obviously seeing a neurologist too so will likely get other MRI. Could it be visual snow? wtf is this?
