Kageboushi is the second arc from the PS3 version of Higurashi to finally receive an English translation and PC port. This is the answer arc for Someutsushi (Natsumi Kimiyoshi's arc, the other English translated arc from the PS3 version) so be sure to read that one first. The installation includes both arcs in a single install, so no worries there. Also, it's highly recommended that you've read up through Ch. 5 Meakashi before reading this one.

Installation requires a copy of Ch. 4 Himatsubushi. Either the steam version or the DRM-free version from MangaGamer's website will work. You can find download links and installation instructions on the Higurashi Console Arcs project page on GitHub. There is now an automated installer that massively simplifies the installation process (only works on Windows though).

There are also a lot of improvements to the patch this time around. If you played the 1.0 release of Someutsushi, the entire arc has gone through re-editing since then to improve the translation, and now includes all the tips and the omake sequence. With the addition of Kageboushi, we've also integrated a bunch of enhancements from the main Higurashi PS3 voice/graphics patches. Most notably, you can now play in either ADV or NVL mode and toggle between them by pressing F1.

Edit: For people confused about all these arcs and how they fit together, I put together a flowchart. It lists all of them with arrows to signify reading order. MangaGamer has currently released up through chapter 5 on the left, and this patch covers two arcs on the far right, Someutsushi and Kageboushi.
