Once upon a time I ran a VM that let me take the guest machine and "overlay" the host, which led to aspects of both machines functions were available on one "integrated" system. What was this called??
Post Body

Googling "overlay" or "integration" doesn't help, because those terms are used more accurately to describe other protocols.

I can't even remember what my host/guest setup was. I think it may have been two debian based distros, which would have made it work much easier.

What's this dang thing called, and is useful for more than some novelty?

Thanks!
