This may be a long post, so please, bear with me =) I will be going on a vaca to the USVI in July, The thing is, we are not sure which one to go to. We are thinking about island hopping and maybe doing a week on each island. I'm wondering where to start and hoping maybe y'all can guide me in the right direction.
We are looking to relax, eat, immerse ourselves in the island life and culture. Which islands have beaches that are NOT crowded. We would love to be able to have a beach to ourselves for a minute or hours, preferably hours lol.
We don't drink alcohol, but we do smoke the marjuana more than occasionally ( just putting that out there) We did see that it is legal. If anyone could clarify this and let me know if there are any dispos I can purchase at.
We are all about the local small business, so staying at a big box resort down to renting a car from a big box is what we are trying to avoid. With that being said, Should we fly into St. Croix rent a car and ferry our way to the other islands and back to St. Croix. I hope you're getting the idea of what we are looking for and can guide me in the right direction. This is our first trip to VI. Been to PR, and it was beautiful.
Little Cruz Bay in St John is awesome! Especially in the late afternoon, early evening. The bars and restaurants along the beach are awesome with everyone standing outside drinking and talking. Just got back from the BVI / USVI and was probably the best part of the trip!
