Best case scenario: They found someone and moved right on or they just simply decided that it's no longer worth their time to come here.
Worst case scenario: Yeah...

It's spring. They see couples about. You do the math. There's only so much a mind told that being lonely is an indictment of their character is going to put up with.
A lot of 'advice' is really code for 'please go away'.
