my mother has no filter, and she doesn’t care who she offends. She barged into my room like she usually does and tells me that I have no excuse to not have a girlfriend because she a saw a video of a Guy with Down syndrome and social anxiety propose to his wife. i honestly thought it may have been fake as first. Maybe it was staged, or maybe someone paid the woman to marry him…but no, It was real. here I am 21 years old. Never even kissed a girl, held hands with a girl (well I did in 5th grade, but it was for dance class) I’ve only hugged girls who felt bad for me. My social skills are god awful. I have ADHD and social anxiety disorder. I also suffer from depression…It’s just I spent most of my time inside the house since a young age. My parents spoiled and sheltered me from the world. The girls that I was attracted to were not interested in me at all. Most of them ended ended up with jocks or gangbangers (I grew up in Harlem) so when I see a guy with Down syndrome or any severe mental disorder, propose to a hot chick, it just makes me feel so depressed. No amount of counseling will help get through it. Old boomer therapists can’t help me communicate better with people my age. I guess I’ll just be a virgin forever, with no friends.🤦🏻‍♂️
