An excellent breakdown of the maths of of tunings and temperaments and their various issues, from first principles.
Not my video, just thought y'all might enjoy a run-through, and it does specifically mention violins as an instrument that doesn't need to struggle much with temperaments at one point.
It also gives an excellent mathematical foundation for choosing the appropriate ratio vs the relevant pitch class that makes sense for what you're playing and who you're playing with, rather than trying to please an electronic tuner and ending up sounding out of tune!
