Learning electric violin as first instrument.

Post Body
I got an electric violin as a gift and don't know how to play any instruments. I'm a broke college student in 3rd world country with no decent violin teachers and not enough money for online coaching. I want to learn it by myself. Is it doable?Should I learn first acoustic? Any Good learning sources you could point me towards?

I recommend learning acoustic first. With an electric, everything is amplified, even out of tune notes/mistakes.

Thanks for explaining! I didn’t have an opportunity yesterday to explain why learning on an acoustic first is better, but you gave an excellent explanation!
