What issues should I be aware of with hanging a violin on a wall?
Post Body

I have some hooks for various stringed instruments of mine that I want to mount. When my Violin is out I play and practice more. What are some things I should be aware of when leaving my violin out instead of having it in it's case? Obviously humidity is one of them. What about sunlight? I'm gathering it should be on a wall that doesn't receive direct sunlight that would cause possibly wide temperature changes throughout the say.

Is there anything else I should worry about being detrimental to the health of my violin when it's left out?

Comments

I would just make sure the screws are super tight into the wall. Other than that, you should probably be fine. If you can find a photo or video, Taylor Davisโ€™ home studio has fiddles hanging on the wall. Maybe you could use her setup as an example?
