Hey Everyone,
Sorry if this is not in the right sub-reddit, but since this is Music and Vinyl related I thought it still fit into the category.
My name is Chris Meyers and I am the co host of a unique new podcast called The Taste of Vinyl which started this year and is dedicated to talking about music and vinyl with industry professionals, vinyl collectors, and vinyl lovers alike. Antonio and I are just two chill dudes who love music, collecting, and talking about vinyl.
If youâre involved in the music industry in some way (i.e. musician, band, record store owner/employee, Vinyl Presser, work for a record label, work as a publicist for musicians, work at a store that sells instruments, vinyl, turntables or anything music related), and collect vinyl then we want to talk to you.
We are currently scheduling interviews for the 2021 season and would live to speak with you. Our show consists of an interview segment which is typically 30-45 min, and touches on telling listeners about yourself, how you got involved in the music industry or in a band, how you got started collecting vinyl, your vinyl collection, and what your set up is (as examples). We then do a segment called "On The Platter" where we discuss an album we have all listened to and then do a little review and give the listeners fun facts about the album that they might not know. To get a better idea of the show click the links below for our website and all of our episodes currently. This is meant to be a super fun and great way to connect with the music and vinyl community in conversational setting that is both casual and unique, and we would love to have you on.
To be considered for an interview all you have to do is email us at [email protected] and tell us your name, a little bit about yourself, how your involved in the music industry, and what kind of vinyl you collect, and we will get in touch with you then to schedule an interview. We use Zencastr to record audio (which currently only works via Chrome & Firefox).
Guests we have had on so far this year include:
Eric âSkippyâ Mueller - Owner of Pirate Press Vinyl Pressing
Matthias Lueck - Co Owner of Brinkmann Audio and Turntables
Steven Gritzan - Owner of Iris Records
Audio Karate - Jason & Arturo (Guitarist & Lead Singer)
Douglas Robinson - Former vocalist for The Sleeping and for Night Verses
Dave Neabore - Bassist, Singer, Songwriter for Dog Eat Dog & Mucky Pup
Jeremy Hernandez - Vocalist and Lead Singer for Red Hymns and formerly of Near Miss
Tyler Bisson - Owner of Audio Geography Lathe Cut Vinyl
So donât hesitate. Check out our podcast and email us today if youâre interested.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and we look forward to hearing from you!
