I'm a beginner. Where to find good patterns?

My aunts recently taught me to sew. We started with mouth masks, but I would love to make something more original that I can wear. I was thinking of a short vintage cape (approximately elbow length). I was wondering whether anyone has any advice for where I can find good patterns? I'm willing to pay, but I find it difficult to decide which patterns are "worth the money" beforehand.
