Old Nokia Puk Code

Unfortunately my kids locked my old Nokia 3720-c by entering wrong pin numbers. It now says I have to enter the PUK code. It's over ten years since this phone was on a network and anything with a PUK code Is long gone. I know the pin but not the puk.
Is there any way to retrieve the PUK code? Or os there any way to go back to the PIN screen? Can Nokia provide the service if I can prove ownership?
Phone full of pictures of nostalgic value.
