My Nikko Alpha II was working swimmingly for about 6 months until the sound suddenly shut off while playing music a few hours ago (not too loud, maybe 72 db from 5 feet away from 89 db/ 2.83 volt speakers). The lights work fine, but the meters don't move. I turned the thing off then on again and waited about 15 seconds for the protection "click" to make the noise. (before tonight I had to wait like 1 second for the click)I disconnected my speakers and plugged my phone straight into the input. The meters moved for about 7 seconds, and then instead of a "click" there is a "click" "click" and suddenly the meters stopped moving. I am too afraid to plug my speakers in, so I don't know if the output is working when the meters are bouncing before the clicks turn everything off. Also, I can turn off the amp after the "click" "click" and then turn it back on, and the meters move for a little bit.
TL;DR protection stopping music; used to work fine.
I am worried very much. I would love to hear what you guys have to say on what is happening. I can post pics, and I think I could do some DIY repair if necessary. Hope nothing for the shop. Thanks!
