more people in my family are in debt than there are people doing well. i see the patterns, and while a lot of it is factors they cant control, it also comes from a place of misunderstanding. both my sister and my mom have had their cars repossessed but they keep spending money in all the wrong ways.

im about to move into an apartment on my own, and i really want to take my finances seriously. i know the basics (budget, dont eat out, save up for bigger purchases) but im interested in learning about savings accounts, credit, investing, retirement funds, etc. a lot of the advice out there is from the mouths of cis white men (or just white people born into generational wealth). does anyone have any resources for POC navigating the finance world?
