Post Body

Ok, so I'll try here first, but if I'm in the wrong place, please redirect me, I really appreciate it

So, I need a single camera, outdoor, wired. I don't want it to record, ideally it should be just a stable live feed into a monitor, no SD card, no DVR, just being able to see what the camera sees on a monitor. I would be fine with any camera that has night vision capability, but that's not even a requirement. If it only works in day light that's fine. It only needs to have a range of about 15-30 feet, decent clarity at that range. It does not need to zoom, pan or tilt. It does not need have any audio, no microphone needed at all. In a perfect world it would just connect to a monitor via HDMI or R/Y/W, but from what I've seen that's rare.

It doesn't have to have a long cord, 5-25 feet is fine. Budget is anywhere up to $200US. I have considered something equivalent to a "backup camera" for cars, which included a stable cord, single camera, built in monitor, if anyone has any that are really great, IR capable, that might work, if the cord is long enough.

A stand-alone unit with camera, cord and monitor would be fine, as would a camera with a wired connection to either a TV or PC monitor. It cannot use internet, depend on any WiFi/router/wireless connection for either set up or usage. It actually needs to be something completely hardwired; camera to cord to monitor.

To answer the goal, it does not need to see fine details like plates or movement, more just general identification of larger objects. The example I like best is if you were to look out a second floor window to your front porch (assuming it's not covered, lol) you could identify if the person on your step was male or female, color of their uniform, the box they are holding is pizza not a package. You don't need to be able to see the person's name tag, eye color or even the logo on their jacket. You need to be able to see they are a person, holding an object, nothing too detailed or fine-pixeled.

Please let me know if you have anything that fits this! I really appreciate it, and I'll probably check some other subs, I just thought this one might have the most expertise.
