Hello!
Time to upgrade my editing computer. I just ordered a used like new M1 Mac mini with 1tb drive and 16gb ram for $1050.
Im coming from a 2017 mbp so I think this is going to be a huge upgrade. All of the review videos for the M1 Mac mini make it seem killer for editing. I mostly shoot with Panasonic cameras and am dealing with h264.
Iām just wondering if anyone has any experience on whether this is going to be a good setup? The same specs in the new iMac is like $2100 so I figure this is a great deal. I basically just need smoother multicam editing and 4K 10 bit playback for highlight editing.
I use premiere but am even considering switching to FCPX to optimize editing. Any advice is appreciated!
