Shooting my first concert, low budget, G7 or fz2500?
Post Body

Hey r/videography Iā€™m shooting my first live concert. The venue is recording the audio and the band just wants me to film a few songs, sync it up, and edit it. Hopefully pluraleyes will sync everything without issue.

Budget is only $250 for renting. I was going to do 2 cams but I think Iā€™m going to do 3 and try to pay a friend to help out. I want to do more of this stuff so I want it to look good.

I own a G7 so I was thinking of renting another G7, 2 metabones and 2 canon 70-200s. Then Iā€˜d rent an fz2500 to use as a safe shot. I shoot weddings with a similar setup. Does this sound like it would work?

My only concern is it might be difficult dealing with the DSLR lens for this type of thing? I could rent 2 fz2500s and use my G7 for the safe shot. I just learned about that camera and it seems really awesome. Or I think I could go with a native 70-200 equivalent instead of the metabones to get a deeper depth of field and still open up wide enough.

What would you do?
