I'm making a little money from videography. I shoot with a Nikon dslr, which is fine for now but can be cumbersome for a one man band.
I'm really intrigued by the canon xa35. Using a camera with xlr inputs and not having to deal with lenses seems like an easier way to work.
Can I use this camera to make snappy social media videos/YouTube ads? That's my main business now but I'm also looking to do corporate stuff, events, weddings, etc. I know I wouldn't get the DSLR look that we all love so much. I'm just curious if people are using camcorders for modern, small scale productions. What kind of work is that camera best for?
