Majorly hypothetical and I’m sure game development doesn’t work the way I’m describing in this post. I’ll use Halo and Mass effect as my examples. Halo 2 was originally much larger and far reaching and was split so to speak into 2 & 3 and Me3 was rushed (I think) so its ending was a mess.
If you could go back in time and pay a whopping 120 (and that double pay magically rendered the development teams able to produce an experience that they wanted in its entirety exactly as they had imagined in vision boarding, etc.), would you?
Edit: I’m talking about DEVELOPERS. Not the corporate people. Yeah the money you’d pay goes to corporate but if it meant the developers and us alike could have had the best experience… would you?
