Halo: Reach was heavily disliked when it released and it blows my mind that it’s so loved now

Post Body

Back in 2010 sprinting in Halo: Reach was seen as the end of the series for a lot of Halo fans. The introduction of armor abilities and faster paced gameplay made a ton of fans hesitant to play the game because it was becoming like Call of Duty. Throw in the fact that you aren’t playing as chief and you had a cluster of fan boys screaming about how much they hate Reach.

I specifically remember having to defend my opinion that it was a fun game but now a lot of people are saying it was the last good game. What happened here? Is it nostalgia or have the people who hated Reach because it wasn’t like Halo 3 moved on? I’m curious for some input
