Post Body

I'm sure we've played games that have been amazing yet they didn't seem to get the appreciation we felt they truly deserved. In your opinion, what games are those?

Watch Dogs 2

This was a phenomenal game in my opinion. Amazing and beautiful world (although I may be biased because I live in the Bay Area) and I really loved the characters because they felt so realistic and relatable. They weren't people meant to be heroes or were professionally trained, they were just your average millenials who were just passionate about technology. The game was great because you constantly got more powerful and able to take on more challenges with ease. You would understand your tech better and better as you progress, and you'd ultimately feel like a god by the game's conclusion. The game's collectibles were strangely addicting to pursue. Everything about this game was very satisfying.

Army of Two

The original game is the best in the series and it's not only because it's a great coop experience, but it also had some great characters in it as well. Their conversations were so realistic and hardly ever felt scripted. It was almost as if all of the dialogue was adlibbed. For example, in one of the gunfights, Salem would randomly ask Rios who his favorite member of the Wu Tang Clan was. Super unpredictable, but it was very fun to hear.

Red Dead Revolver

I know the subsequent games got some of the highest praise in gaming history (I'm a massive fan of the first RDRedemption, but not so much part 2 btw), but the original is one that truly deserved more attention. It's unique and comical style, combined with great gunplay made it a game that was both great to pick up and play or to have long sessions with. Collecting all of the guns and equipment was very nice because of all the artwork that was made for each item, it had me excited each time I would go to the shop to see what's new. I also really liked how in one segment you played as one of the game's villains, playing from his point of view, attacking what he sees as the bad guys. I truly wish this game deserves a remake, if not at least a huge graphical update.

So, what games did you have a huge appreciation for, even though it seemed not many other people did??

Comments

Bruh the first Army of Two was sick. The whole idea of it and the gameplay was fun AF.
