Correct me if I'm wrong anywhere:
In HFM, it seems like the calculation for RP gain when conquering is:
(# of provinces in the state you just conquered) x (your daily RP after conquest) x (200) x (RP bonus on conquest)
I was playing as the Sikh Empire and I had a daily RP of over 3.0, and just conquered Kandahar from Afghanistan. Using the equation above, I would get the following RP:
5 x 3 x 200 x 1.25 = 3750 RP
The base RP bonus is 0.75, but the Sikh Empire starts with 2 reforms unlocked which give them 50% RP on conquest. If you conquer a highly illiterate state, you will have lower daily RP. Also, from what I know, HFM uses 200 instead of the vanilla 360 or 365.
However, instead of gaining 3750 RP, I gained ~2250 which suggests that the RP bonus on conquest modifier is not being applied. I experimented with getting the third and then forth reforms that would give a 100% modifier and I still get ~2250 RP.
