I'm 24 and have a lot of time on my hands, really wanting to dive into 3D and do everything but AI has me worried, am I overthinking it ?

I've been reading a lot and I'm not really seeing the same answers, I'll either hear "You're fine it'll never take your job" to "Yeah don't even bother AI will be making movies in 2 years minimum"
If I wanted to create high fidelity CG short films or just shots and even work in the industry is there a point ? Other than hobby of course but i'm talking about JOB specifically.
