So back story is 3.5 weeks ago this cat brought me her very very sick kitten. The cat is owned by this family that are very known for animal abuse. I could go on about them for ages but hundreds have reported her w and they still get animals somehow. The vets estimated this mum to be only 18 months old and the kitten 4 weeks at the time. I have lived in this house since Feb 2020 and this is her third litter that I know of. They have cats die left right and centre and it is horrid.
The mum brought me the sick kitten and I didn't think twice. Put them in a carry cage and rushed them to the vets. The vets found a huge grass seed in the kittens eye. And was put on eye drops until healed 5 days. So he is going great. They said mum was a bit thin but over all healthy. I got told to quarantine them for 2 weeks before introducing to my cats. My 2 others are indoor only and fully vaccinated.
In the last 3.5 weeks the cats have been great and in the last 1.5 weeks they have been interacting with my cats amazing. Up until now the mum and kitten have been fine. And 100% indoors. With no issues coming by 2 weeks the vets cleared for them to all start meeting. But here we are...mum cats third eyelid has been showing quite badly. Only her right eye. It gets a tad watery every now and then. I noticed this yesterday. She also has a small cough. Honestly wouldn't have noticed it if I hadn't noticed the eye. I have called vets to find they are shut and our emergency vets have shut with the virus so closest after hours care is 2 hours away. So I'd love advice. Do you think this is something to make the trip or can it wait until Monday .
I'm honestly worried that it is something that all the cats will get. But the vets were sure if she was sick, she would have shown it by now.
